Community Program Information

Community Program Overview
Inter Atlanta FC (formerly Atlanta Youth Soccer Association) was formed in 1988 with one of its core pillars of being a "community club."  We have taken that aspect very seriously in the way we act as a club and engage with the community and neighborhoods around our Home Fields at Arizona Avenue. 

Read below for some specific areas that we are involved in regarding community outreach. 



Community Outreach


Our club actively engages with our local elementary and middle schools to enhance the lives of those living in and around our neighborhoods.  Our Director of Community Outreach, Brian Stoddart, is currently engaging with five local schools.  He works with volunteers and staff at Inter Atlanta FC to provide kindergarten through 8th grade students the opportunity to participate in soccer clinics after school.  

We are looking to host a Glenwood Jamboree sometime in the spring to provide even more opportunities for children living in the Glenwood and Shoal Creek area.  



Equipment Exchange

  • Our Equipment Exchange Program provides our current membership, surrounding charities, and international organizations with gently used soccer equipment (soccer balls, jerseys, socks, cleats, and other equipment) throughout the season, as children grow out of them and need different sizes.  We want to provide parents with easy access to equipment that is typically expensive to buy brand new.  


    We have updated our Lost and Found night to hosting once a month on the first Tuesday of every month.  We are emptying out our new lost and found bins from 5:00-7:00 pm, and giving parents a chance to find any lost gear before we bag and donate all the accumulated gear to a charity.  

    Please swing by from 5:00-7:00 pm if you think you have lost anything at our Arizona Avenue fields.

    The lost and found bins are located by the blue shed at our Arizona Avenue Complex.  When you arrive to search for your lost gear, there will be a volunteer or staff member present to open the bins for you.  They will not remain open from 5:00-7:00 pm, but will be opened as people arrive and while they search through the items.  

    No more than one person at a time is allowed to look through the bins, and all parents must wear masks the entire time. 

    Also, a reminder that our Equipment Exchange is made by appointment only due to COVID-19, and you can fill out a form here to schedule a time to look for gently used cleats, shin guards, socks, and goalkeeping items for your child. If you have anything to drop off, please do not leave the items by the Equipment Room door, but rather ask a staff member to open the door for you or hand off to them to bring upstairs.
