Referee Program
The Inter Atlanta FC Referee Program provides opportunities for youth and adult referees to learn, grow, and officiate matches in a positive and development-focused environment. Our program emphasizes education, mentorship, and consistency to ensure a high-quality experience for referees, teams, players, and families alike.
Inter Atlanta FC assigns referees for recreational, academy, and competitive (SCCL, DPL, GA Aspire) matches throughout the year. Our goal is to create a consistent and professional officiating environment while supporting referees at every stage of their journey.
Become a Certified Official
First-time Referees
Certification courses are available for individuals 13 years of age or older and are completed through the U.S. Soccer Learning Center. All referees must be certified through U.S. Soccer before officiating matches with Inter Atlanta FC.
Courses are typically offered during the offseason months. Once certified, referees can join Inter Atlanta's referee group to begin receiving match assignments.

Recertifying Referees
All referees are required to recertify annually. Recertification is completed online through the U.S. Soccer Learning Center.
The recertification course reviews current laws of the game, updates, and best practices to ensure officials are prepared for the upcoming season. Like first-time certification, recertification courses are typically available during the offseason months.

Join Inter Atlanta's Referee Group
Once certified or recertified, referees must complete a few simple steps to begin receiving game assignments with Inter Atlanta FC.
Getting Assigned Games
Inter Atlanta FC uses Assignr to manage referee communication, availability, assignments, and payments. All referees must be registered in our Assignr group to receive game assignments.
If you do not have an Assignr account, please contact the Inter Atlanta referee assignor to get a sign up link.
Referee Support & Reporting
Inter Atlanta FC is committed to supporting referees on and off the field. Clear communication and timely reporting help us maintain a positive and professional matchday environment.
Match Reporting:
- After each match, referees are required to submit a match report in Assignr
- Scores and any disciplinary actions must be recorded
- Red card incidents or significant spectator issues should be reported promptly to the referee assignor
