Inter Atlanta FC Expands Partnership with Decatur FC to Elevate Women’s Soccer in Atlanta

Now in its second season in the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL), Decatur FC made history in 2024, breaking the league’s all-time single-game attendance record during “Inter Atlanta FC Night.” Playing at Decatur High School’s Stadium, located in the heart of IAFC’s player community, Decatur FC and IAFC are deepening their collaboration to provide enhanced player development pathways and community-driven initiatives.

As the only intown women’s semi-pro soccer team, Decatur FC was named Franchise of the Year in its inaugural season, setting new standards both on and off the field. With strong ties to the City of Decatur, the club embodies the spirit of its community, inspiring pride through fierce competition, excellence, and outreach programs.

Expanding Pathways for Players & Community Engagement

Through this partnership, Decatur FC will offer mentorship opportunities for IAFC players, create pathways for both players and coaches, and collaborate with IAFC’s Gratis Play program to expand access to soccer in local schools. Additionally, IAFC players will have opportunities to engage in volunteer initiatives with Decatur FC, strengthening the bond between both clubs and the broader soccer community.

Mark Your Calendars – Inter Atlanta FC Night Returns on June 27

Decatur FC will once again host Inter Atlanta FC Night during their final home game of the regular season on June 27, 2025. Fans are encouraged to attend and be part of this special event, celebrating women’s soccer and community engagement. All Inter Atlanta FC players who wear their IAFC Jersey will get free admission to the game.
